About Buck Up for Wounded Warriors

Buck Up for Wounded Warriors is a Non-Profit, Non-Partisan organization that was founded in the spring of 2009 by a small group of people that were interested in doing a fundraiser to benefit wounded troops.
As a combat veteran returns home they are faced with not only the day to day life struggles we all have, but also "dealing" with the effects of war.

What We Have Been Up To!

March 2012 Newsletter

The buck evaded Luke this year but he made an amazing 350 yard shot to get a doe. We were all especially proud of Luke because he made this shot in spite of his failing vision due to a head injury. Luke was inspirational to all of us on the trip in other ways. He has an unbelievable faith in God and lives his life based on the teachings of Jesus Christ. He was happy to share the secrets of his happiness and the tricks to overcoming the hardships he faces. All of us at Buck Up wish Luke, his lovely wife Tamara and their family the very best of life in beautiful Stevensville Montana!Buck up for Wounded Warriors is proud to be present at this event and grateful for the opportunity to raise money for our mission. We will sell raffle tickets for our special weapons as well as Hats and T Shirts. We thank the Fighting Force!Buck Up for Wounded Warriors found a great supporter two years ago when Rudy Smith walked in to Wholesale Sports to ask for a little help. Here is the direct telling of the story! “Two years ago I walked into the Wholesale Sports store and asked if they would be interested in donating some gloves or perhaps some long underwear to the wounded warriors we were sending on a hunt in eastern Mt. The fella I visited with was Paul Rousch. From there, Paul said that he may be able to help me out with a bow package. He contacted some of his archery reps and before I knew it I was handed a complete bow package including 1 doz arrows. Blain Davies was the manager at the time, and we discussed a raffle and he suggested setting up there in the store. I had just purchased an AR- 15 from SI-Defence in Kalispell and donated it to Buck-up to begin a raffle for a bow package and this exquisite firearm. Wholesale Sports has made their store available to us ever since to promote our raffles and raise money for Buck-up for Wounded Warriors. Many thanks to them and the fine folks that shop there. When I was unable to continue to be there on the weekends due to an injury, Laura and Don took over for me, I will never forget the kind wishes written inside a card with all the staff signing it. Thank you all, and Laura and Don for continuing to carry the torch for our Wounded Warriors.” The staff at Wholesale Sports is an exceptionally great group that always makes our promotions at the store an enjoyable experience. And hats off to the customers for their faithful support as well. We usually meet people who tell us of their own Wounded Warriors or of their personal wartime experiences. We feel the patriotism of these folks and their love of country as well as the great outdoors. Buck Up is very grateful to Wholesale Sports for allowing us to set up our tables every Friday and Saturday. This affords us the opportunity to raise money to send our veterans on hunting and fishing trips here in the beautiful state of Montana.Buck Up had a Great time at the Hamilton gun show! Thank you folks for such wonderful support!! We will be at the Flathead County Fairgrounds at the end of March for the 2012 Montana Sportmans Expo. We will have new hats and t shitrs. We always love to visit!!! Please help us spread the word about our Wounded Warriors and forward this to anyone interested in supporting our combat veterans.
